The Clinical Patient Management System (CPMS) is a highly secure web-based platform in the form of an online hospital provided by the European Commission to support the European Reference Networks in bringing expert specialised care to all patients in Europe. The implementation of this advantageous tool in EuroBloodNet is beneficious for patients with rare haematological diseases.
The first CPMS online clinical meeting of the EuroBloodNet's Cutaneous Lymphoma (CL) Virtual Board of medical experts took place at the beginning of July. During the successful session, carried out by international European CL experts including Prof. Dr. Rudolf Stadler, Prof. Dr. Martine Bagot, Prof. Dr. J Hendrik Veelken, Prof. Dr Ulrike Wehkamp, and moderated by Prof. Dr. Maarten Vermeer, the physicians could virtually consult various cases of patients with CL.
Favourable report of this first CPMS Virtual Board clinical meeting supports the set-up of the tool in EuroBloodNet and the strategy to implement the online Virtual Board clinical meetings in CPMS in other EuroBloodNet's subnetworks of diseases in the future.
